The Main C++Online Conference for 2026 has come to an end! Thanks to everyone who participated in creating such a great and engaging online experience for all of us.
We’re delighted with the uptake this year. We reduced entry prices in the hope of making the conference even more accessible to a wider audience, particularly those who might not be able to travel or afford the costs associated with attending in-person events. This appears to have worked very well and we’ll be keeping the lower price point for future editions of the event
In addition we had our biggest programme of content ever - more than 45 total sessions across the 3 days. We added a third track of content, 10 additional post conference workshops + preview sessions, 12 open content sessions, 9 virtual posters, plus Lightning Talks and of course, our keynotes.

Keynotes
Thanks to David, Jason and Inbal for some incredible keynote presentations. David’s pre-recorded keynote is one of the best examples of embracing the online/pre-recorded format that we’ve ever seen. We’re so proud to have been able to facilitate such an impressive session and we’d love to see more content like this at future events
Jason also delivered a wonderfully interactive talk that also did a great job of highlighting how the live online format can still deliver highly engaging and dynamic experiences for those watching. It was funny, informative and incredibly engaging!
Inbal’s session was the perfect endcap to the event, bringing us back to the subject of A.I but from a very different angle compared to David’s talk. We were delighted to be able to host the session given the circumstances and it's a testament to the flexibility of the online format that we were able to facilitate such a fantastic talk given the situation at hand.
Thanks to all our keynote speakers for their amazing talks.
Speakers, Workshop Instructors + Open Content
We'd also like to thank our amazing Speakers and Workshop Instructors for such great sessions. Speaking online is not as easy as it might appear and requires additional time and effort in preparing to present, especially when presenting from home. We really appreciate everyone's time spent tech checking, inducting and tweaking setups for the best possible stream quality.
Also thanks to our additional speakers who presented Open Content Sessions - you added even more variety and additional content for the attendees to enjoy!
Poster Presenters
We also had some amazing posters and so we would like to thank our poster presenters for the time and effort they put into making them. They really helped to bring the Gather Town venue to life especially during the two poster sessions we ran on Wednesday and Friday.
Volunteers
We also couldn't run the event without our incredible group of online volunteers! They have all dedicated their time over the three days of the main conference to provide attendees with the best possible experience online.
We must thank the sponsors of this year's event! Their support has been invaluable to providing such a fully featured and encompassing event and funding for production of the final YouTube videos.

What's Next For C++Online?
That's not all! We have some ideas in the works that we wanted to make you aware of - sign up to the newsletter to get updates on any of the following:
Quarterly Meetup
We are considering the possibility of hosting a quarterly C++Online meetup to help foster a larger community and provide opportunities for people to come together more often, rather than just once a year. We’ll be looking at options for how this might work, but our initial thoughts are to use Gather to provide a smaller space to host attendees and then hosting a few talks within Zoom. We’ll be looking for help to run these sessions and also speakers who might be interested in presenting. These sessions would also then be released to the C++Online YouTube channel. You can reach out to us via email here if you would like to register your interest: info@cpponline.uk
We’d like to open the C++Online YouTube channel up to the community to host additional content submitted by speakers/users outside of the main conference period. These would be reviewed internally to ensure they meet CoC and other guidelines and then processed and published to the channel. This will benefit the conference by helping to grow the subscriber base on YouTube outside of the conference talk release schedule.
Hosting Year-Round Online Workshops & Training
This would be done with the aim to make C++ learning more accessible to the wider community throughout the year.
Integration with the wider community - we are currently in discussions with CppCon to help host online training sessions as a partnership with C++Online. We’ll also be exploring opportunities for further collaboration with other meetup groups - particularly those who meet online.
Finally we want to speak to anyone who organises events on Zoom or other online platforms to explore options for consolidating resources such as Zoom accounts and other subscription services. Our aim is to provide an infrastructure that we can make available to different groups to utilize for their own purposes to host online meetups and events, plus combine subscriptions to achieve lower costs that everyone can benefit from.
If any of the above interests you, please reach out to us at info@cpponline.uk or sign up to the mailing list to stay informed of future events and evolutions to the C++Online offering
